Talking about weather in Spanish

The (353 x 234 px) (1308 x 867 px) (1)

Want to talk to someone, but don’t know what to talk about? You can always talk about the weather.

Here’s how.

The best way to learn conversational Spanish is by simply speaking, and that’s what you are going to do today! You are going to practice saying what the weather is like today in your city. 💬😊

Ready? Record yourself (using the recorder below) saying what the weather is like today.

STEP 1. Is it daytime, night time, etc.?

STEP 2. Is it clear, cloudy, etc.?

STEP 3. What is the temperature like? Is it windy?

STEP 4. Is it a good day or a bad day?

AHORA TÚ! NOW YOU! 💬

Let me know in the comments below: what is the weather like today in your city!

Do you find it difficult to speak in Spanish? Do you worry too much about your pronunciation, or if people will understand you? Or maybe you are constantly thinking if you are making mistakes?

If you’re struggling with Spanish, it’s not because you “don’t have the language gene“. You probably just don’t have the right study method.

My mission is to help you figure it out.

Want to know my favorite way to learn a new language?

Speak from day 1.

And you may think: well, Raquel, that’s very easy to say, but I don’t have a clue where to start.

I was in your same position once, until I hit upon the most important realisation I’ve ever made in my journey to language-learning success. Once I made this discovery, everything changed. And before long, I was having confident conversations in my new language.

What was the secret?

I needed to speak the language.

That might sound obvious, but it’s advice that many language learners (like my 21-year-old self!) struggle to follow.

Instead, they attempt to learn a new language by burying their nose in books, occasionally watching a movie in their desired target language (with subtitles), then speaking their mother tongue all day with their friends, family and coworkers.

No wonder I learned so slowly!

At From Zero to Español in 3 Months, my Spanish program for beginners, you speak from day one, during the whole lesson. 100% speaking, 0 passive learning. Speaking Spanish is a skill, and to learn any skill you must practise it!

Just open your mouth, and don’t be afraid to make a few mistakes.

If you speak from day one, you’ll find it’s possible to have real (albeit imperfect) conversations with native speakers far sooner than you think.

If you’re not sure how to get started, don’t worry, I’ve got your back!

In my From Zero to Español in 3 Months course, I’ll take you from a total beginner in Spanish to the point where you can have confident conversations with native speakers in as little as 12 weeks.

What is the weather like today in your city!? Where do you live? And where are you from?!

Let me know in the comments below! Can’t wait to hear from you! 😊

Un abrazo,

Raquel
